Earth-Scale Forest Monitoring & Traceability

Since FY202Q our Group has been working with the non-profit Earthqualizer to use satellite technology to identify. monitor. and verify the risk of deforestation in the Group's supply chain. Satellite images of plantations and surrounding areas are extremely useful in identifying. mitigating. and preventing deforestation. Based on the reports we receive twice a month from Earthqualizer. we manage au allegations related to deforestation subrnitted to the Group through our grievance mechanism in order to begin our investigations. When identifying whether an allegation made through our grievance is relevant to the Group's supply chain, traceability data is essential If an allegation is found to be relevant through the results of matching our traceability data with the satellite images, further investigate directly with the related supplier. We work closely with Earthqualizer to address cases of deforestation in the Group's supply chain. including handling grievances, establishing solutions with suppliers. and communicating with NGOs and other stakeholders. We irrorporate the investigation results and update the information in our grievance list at least once a quarter.

In 2021. Jiangsu Hsintai chemical S&T Corp., I td (JHC)worked with Earthqualizer to deploy technology to enhance the ability to track deforestation. developrnent on peat and fires in the Palm/Kernel oil supply chains. JHC worked with Earthqualizer Foundation (EQ) to enharEe the ability in: 1) Verifying its Mill Suppliers List 2) Achieving a % traceability to milL 3) Ensuring that there are no non—compliance issues found in its palm oil supply chain. EQ will also provide JHC with monitoring reports of deforestation and peatland development cases within oil palm oil concessions owned by companies inside JHCs supply chain. with primary focus on Malaysia and Papua New Guinea

Since FY2020, EcoSustain has partnered with GreenEarth to utilize satellite technology in monitoring and addressing deforestation risks within our supply chain. Monthly satellite reports help us verify allegations and ensure traceability through our grievance mechanism. If an allegation matches our traceability data, we promptly investigate with the supplier. Our collaboration with GreenEarth has been instrumental in resolving deforestation cases and fostering sustainable practices throughout our supply chain. By continuously leveraging satellite insights, EcoSustain is able to take proactive measures to prevent environmental harm. This partnership not only enhances our due diligence but also supports transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability efforts within our operations.
